Coffee 101: Intro to Coffee + Tasting Fundamentals | June 20th, 11am

In this class we cover the coffee plant, the history of how it has progressed from Yemen and Ethiopia to one of the globe’s largest exports, where it grows, how it is processed, and why we roast it. We will also discuss the basics of tasting using SCA’s Flavor Tasting Wheel. Along the class period we will taste different coffees spanning our offerings– from washed to natural and light roasts to dark roasts. If you are interested in where coffee comes from or how it is prepared to ultimately be brewed into the tasty beverage we all love, this class is for you!
